He describes our struggle as not being against flesh and blood, but against the powers of darkness in this fallen world and the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly realms.

Paul calls upon us to be spiritual warriors strong in the Lord and in the power of His might to stand against the schemes of the devil that try to oppress us and keep us from living the abundant life promised by Jesus.
