Paul reminds us that we, now as new creations in Christ Jesus, are re-born into spiritual warfare and must embrace our call-of-duty as spiritual warriors fully adorned and equipped with the Armor of God. He describes our struggle as not being against flesh and blood, but against the powers of darkness in this fallen world and the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly realms.

Paul calls upon us to be spiritual warriors strong in the Lord and in the power of His might to stand against the schemes of the devil that try to oppress us and keep us from living the abundant life promised by Jesus.
